Summary
AeroTraceGPS does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us or to any third party. There is no account, no analytics, and no server component. The app runs entirely on your iPhone and only exchanges data locally with your own Bluetooth ground receiver.
Location data
AeroTraceGPS requests access to your location while using the app in order to:
- Show your position on the on-screen map
- Calculate the distance between you and the tracked model
This location data is processed entirely on your device. It is never sent to us, never sent to any server, and never leaves your phone. It is not stored once the app is closed.
Bluetooth data
AeroTraceGPS uses Bluetooth Low Energy to connect to a ground receiver that relays GPS position, altitude, and status information from RC models. This connection is direct, local, and device-to-device — the data received is displayed on the map and telemetry panel and is not recorded, uploaded, or shared anywhere.
What we don't do
- We don't collect any personal information
- We don't use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs
- We don't show ads or use advertising identifiers
- We don't require or support account creation
- We don't share any data with third parties, because none is collected
Data retention
Since no data is collected or transmitted off your device, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Flight paths and telemetry shown during a session exist only in the app's memory while it is open, and are cleared when the app is closed.
Children's privacy
AeroTraceGPS is a utility app for RC model flying and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age, for the reasons described above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes — for example if a future version adds a feature that involves data collection — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
